Reagan was on TV! :-)

Our Friday started early! The kids love watching the Sunny Side Up show on PBS Kids Sprout in the mornings. This weeks theme was music. You can send in messages to the live show on their website, so we sent in this picture of Reagan

with a note to Chicka: "Dear Chicka, I love playing piano with my Oma." And they showed it on TV! Reagan thought it was so cool to see her picture on TV!

Hiking

Thursday has become our hike day! The past couple weeks we have been going out to take a Thursday hike, and have been enjoying it very much. It;s so nice to get out from the house, and to take such a nice and sceneic walk around our area!

Our first week we went on the Iron King Trail, and did a 6 mile hike.

Week 2, we chose to go to Lynx Lake and hiked the paved trail there for about 2 miles. Even though it was a shorter hike, the trail has much more ups and downs and is more strenuous. We finished off our hike with a picnic lunch and some duck feeding!

We'd like to continue with this, but would prefer to do Lynx Lake, and other similar trails on Wednesdays when parking in those parks is free. The only problem is that we are trying to switch Reagan's gymnastics to Wednesdays so that when Adam can start in 2 short months, their classes can be on the same day, at the same time. I think trying to do gymnastics AND hike on the same day would be a little much!
